I am a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society (CPsychol), registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
My approach to therapy is integrative, drawing on a range of methods. I work collaboratively, fostering a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. I aim to create a safe, nurturing, and non-judgemental space where you feel comfortable exploring your experiences and feelings, enabling you to make meaningful and lasting change in how you feel, live your life, and relate to others.
During the therapeutic process, you will be heard, respected, and supported in navigating life's emotional challenges. Whatever difficulties you are facing, there is a way through.
With a background in mental health, my clinical experience spans working in secondary care in the NHS, community mental health charities such as Mind and Change Grow Live, schools and colleges, and private practice. I am trained as an online support worker for Shout Crisis and experienced in working as a mentor with The Prince's Trust. I offer Youth Mental Health First Aid courses, both online and in-person, for anyone who works, lives with, or supports young people aged 8–18.
I have a specialist interest in working with adults affected by adoption and supporting neurodivergent individuals.
It is a privilege to build a therapeutic relationship with a client; I find it inspiring to see clients open to exploring their inner world and gain insights and self-awareness that help them navigate life better. It takes courage.
I hold a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from Regent's University London, an MSc in Developmental Psychology, and a BSc (Honours) in Psychology.
Doctoral Thesis: A Constructivist Grounded Theory of How Counselling Psychologists Work Therapeutically with Adult Adoptees.
Postgraduate: Mothers' Experiences of Adolescent Individuation.
