Effective therapy can significantly enhance your psychological well-being and foster meaningful, lasting change. My approach is relational, empathic, and non-judgemental. I offer a reflective and confidential space where you can feel safe sharing your thoughts, feelings, and emotions.

I am here to support you through life’s difficulties and challenges, whether you are navigating life transitions, seeking to improve your emotional well-being, or seeking guidance for emotional healing.

A safe space to explore, reflect and grow

Hello, I’m Dr Jill Bowman, a Chartered Counselling Psychologist offering psychotherapy to children and adolescents, adults, and couples. I also deliver workshops on youth mental health. I work collaboratively, with a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. I draw on a range of methods and offer a tailored approach to your needs and goals; Existential Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I have experience working with a range of challenging issues and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, loss, relationship issues, attachment problems, trauma, life transitions, identity, and low self-esteem.

A confidential space to reflect on the difficulties or challenges you are experiencing, with someone outside your day-to-day life.

Together we explore your situation in a way that leads to fresh perspectives and a deeper understanding of yourself, empowering you to make your own changes.

As a Chartered Counselling Psychologist, I am a member of the BPS, registered with the HCPC, and a Registered Member of the BACP, and bound by their codes of ethics.
